Web matters

Web Matters is a new, independent, member-driven industry association for those who create and work on the open web. In his talk, Chris covers why such a body is needed, some of the issues they aim to address, and how they're going to do it.

This talk took place on 8th February 2018 at The Belgrave.

Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor has been building websites since the late nineties, and is very pleased that people continue to pay him for something he enjoys so much.

He is currently doing technical consulting and development, and is especially interested in web accessibility and performance. He also likes to contribute to the Open Source community, having developed plugins for WordPress as well as other libraries and tools.

He is probably the only professional web developer in Yorkshire to have a degree in Jazz Studies, and plays various instruments with mixed levels of success. He has several children and now has the great honour of being "Papa" to a growing collection of grandchildren.
