Creating a place for Tech in Leeds

What is Tech and why does Leeds need an independent place for the community to work, meet and connect? Emma Cheshire, one of the founders of FutureLabs, tells us more about the hub, future plans and where the whole idea came from.

As well as founding FutureLabs with Steve Wainwright, Emma is cofounder and CEO of Dotforge. She has a wealth of experience working with tech startups, third sector and charity organisations and fund management.

Emma helped establish and deliver the first Dotforge Accelerator programs in 2013 and 2014 and when on to work with the RSA and Key Fund to develop Dotforge Impact – supporting entrepreneurs to use tech to solve social and environmental challenges.

Dotforge has backed 32 Tech4Good startups to date and is also delivering specialist programs for industries such as health, agritech and hardware.
