Google has changed significantly in the last 5 years from a simple crawler using well-trodden natural language processing techniques and proxy metrics to a hungry indexing monster powered by machine learning and the desire to be more human. In his talk Malcolm looks at where we came from to where we are now, how and why Google has had to adapt and how Google handles newer technologies including JavaScript and AMP.

This talk took place on 21st November 2017 at The Belgrave.
