As part of an ongoing series where we ask industry professionals what they use to get the job done, we speak to Steve, Senior Writer at digital marketing agency Stickyeyes.
I’m a senior writer at digital marketing agency Stickyeyes. In my spare time I write poetry and prose, do talks and spoken word stuff, and run a guerrilla publishing project called #foundfiction – where we leave anonymous short stories in envelopes marked ‘read me’ around public spaces.
Pen and paper for scribbling down a first draft, then a laptop for typing it up in best. And a phone for making notes of potentially significant things I see, hear and recall when I’m on the move.
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint now and then, and the Evernote app, which is perfect for note-taking.
I think I once had it: a chilly outdoor hut, with a mattress on the floor and a lamp above my head, in Argenta, British Columbia. It was the cosiest room ever, even with the bears outside.
A pen – but you already knew that, didn’t you? I really can’t think of another item that feels more natural to me.
Thanks Steve!
